Who doesn’t love the creamy decadent filling in a pizza or just some simple slices with a bite of your favourite hamburger? Cheese is almost always associated with fat, and it often comes with a stigma when people are trying to lead a healthy lifestyle.

While an excess of any food item can be equally harmful, there are some excellent health benefits that you can have while consuming cheese, in moderate portion sizes of course!

Glowing Skin and Healthy Hair

Cheese is considered very good for your hair growth as it contains high amounts of vitamin B. Also, the natural proteins present help in hair growth and maintain a supple look of the skin and hair for a healthy natural glow.

Weight Gain

While it may not always be popular for weight loss, people who want to gain weight can consume cheese on a daily basis. It has a lot of natural fats that help in muscle building and weight gain.

Safe Pregnancy

Calcium is present in cheese that is directly related to the smooth pregnancy in women. Hard cheese such as Cheddar, Parmesan, Gruyere etc. have a high amount of calcium (30g of cheese contains almost 240mg Calcium). Not only is it useful for the mother and the child as it helps in milk production, but it also stimulates the contractions during labour.

Bone Strength

Cheese contains natural fats, and also contains high amounts of vitamin B12, vitamin D and calcium. These two nutrients are vital for children, pregnant women and even elderly people, as it helps increase the bone strength. Vitamin B absorbs and distributes the calcium all throughout the body.

Reduces Blood Pressure

Sodium and cholesterol are often linked to high blood pressure among many people. Vitamin B found naturally in cheese can help reduce blood pressure if you try a low sodium type to suit your dietary plan.

There are plenty more pros than cons of cheese, but we recommend consulting a doctor or a nutritionist before trying out something in your diet that you haven’t already.
