Bressan is a farmstead cheese manufactured in Bresse area of Rhone-Alps region in France. Also called as Petite Bressan, this soft cheese offers a natural rind and distinct flavour. It is condensed in cone shape and aging process in carried out an aired cellar for 1-3 weeks. When matured, the paste becomes very smooth and velvety with fruity flavour. The rind is natural and it contains around 40 to 45 % fat. This delicious cheese matches very well with Beaujolais and rose wines or pair it with light red and dry light white wines.
