Cabrigourmet is a slightly salty gourmet cheese manufactured in Poitou-Charentes region of central western France. Not wrapped, therefore it ripens slowly and gets its characteristic goat taste by keeping it in a fridge at a temperature of 4°-6° C. With the age, it becomes dry and crumbly in nature and offers a slightly salty taste. Excellent to serve with aperitifs. Also, ideal at the end of a meal accompanied with white wine when young and red wine when aged. This low fat cheese is a good option for the health conscience people as it contains only 22% of fat. Semi-soft in consistency with soft pâte and its appetizing taste goes well with dry white, red or white fruity wines from the Sauvignon grapes.
