Chanteraine Poivre comes from the group Chanteraine. An extremely rich and triply creamed made from cow’s milk. The cream used for producing Chanteraine is a by-product obtained while making Brie de Meaux. Made by coating peppercorns on it, and then placing in cool cellars for two weeks so that a white bloomy mould covers the cheese. Comes with a great variation in flavours that is tempered by the freshness and heat of the peppercorns. Contains around 75% fat. Loved with full heavier wines of the Bourgogne on the cheese trays.
