By visiting Cheese.com Online Shop website pages and/ or purchasing something from us, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions, including any additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink on our website. These Terms and Conditions apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/ or contributors of content. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the website or use any services.
Any new features or tools that are added to the current online shop shall also be subject to the Terms and Conditions. You can review the most current version of these Terms at any time on this page. We reserve the right to update, change, or/and replace any part of these Terms and Conditions by posting updates and/or changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes before you place an order request. Your continued use of or access to the website following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
Our online shop is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with an online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you, including the checkout/payment process.
Purchase Orders
Once you place an order online on Cheese.com, it is classed as an offer. By proceeding through the ‘checkout process’ you agree to these Terms and Conditions, and you are making an offer to purchase goods from our website, which, if accepted by Cheese.com, will result in a binding contract. Your completion of the checkout process does not, however, constitute Cheese.com’s acceptance of your order. Payment will be taken from your Paypal account or credit card or debit card and an acknowledgment of receipt of your order will be emailed to the email you provide when completing the checkout process. Acceptance of your order and the formation of a contract between you and Cheese.com will take place on dispatch to you of the products ordered unless Cheese.com has notified you that they do not accept your order, or you have canceled it (please refer to Returns and Refunds). Whilst your PayPal or credit card will, therefore, be debited before the contract is formed, if your order is ultimately rejected, a full refund will be made. If for some reason you do not receive an email acknowledging receipt of your order, yet your Paypal or credit card has been debited, please notify Cheese.com without delay at orders@cheese.com. If you create an account on this website (whenever the option is available) or you choose to save your details on checkout, it is your responsibility to choose a suitably strong password and personal username to prevent unauthorized access to your account. Please keep these confidential and secure. All activity that takes place through your account is your responsibility. If you believe that your username or password has become known to, or is being used by, people other than you, please reset your password immediately. Personal and Paypal or credit card details supplied by you must be correct and valid and you are responsible for being authorized to use them. You must be over 18 years of age to order alcohol on our website.
Pricing
Pricing includes VAT (where applicable) at the current legal rate. Prices may be updated periodically without notice, and this may affect orders already in the system. Payment is carried out through secure gateways using Shopify. This is a world-recognized and established company that accepts all major credit cards and also Paypal. While Cheese.com tries to ensure that all prices on their website are accurate, errors may occur. If Cheese.com discovers an error in the price of goods you have ordered, we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or canceling it. If Cheese.com is unable to contact you, we will treat the order as canceled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund provided the order has not already been prepared or dispatched.
Prices for our products are subject to change without notice.
We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time.
We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuance of the service provided through our online shop.
Cancellation
If you wish to cancel an order you have made, please contact Cheese.com immediately by sending an email to orders@cheese.com. Cheese.com may not accept cancellation of orders for perishable items (such as cheese), because packing and dispatch often happens very shortly after receiving the order. If Cheese.com accepts the cancellation of your order, and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.
Returns and Refunds
Due to the perishable nature of our products, we cannot accept returns after delivery has been accepted.
For any missing or damaged items, please notify us in writing with photos within 24 hours of delivery.
Substitution
Artisanal or farmhouse cheese is a ‘living’ product and sometimes it may not be possible to send you the exact cheese ordered. Also, seasonal cheeses will vary accordingly and the photos and information on Cheese.com may be indicative only for such products, depending also on our supplier’s available stocks. Where this occurs Cheese.com will dispatch a replacement of equal quality and value. If possible, you will be informed about the replacement and your agreement obtained before the order is dispatched to you.
Cutting and Weights
All cut cheeses are cut fresh by hand by our suppliers to the best of their knowledge and practice. Whole cheeses made by hand may vary occasionally in size, color and weight. Where weights are listed for cut or whole cheeses they are therefore approximate.
