Cravanzina comes from Alta Langa region in the southern Piedmont. This area is well known to produce many great cheeses of different types and also for wines like Barbaresco, Barolo and Asti. This cheese is hand-made cheese made from cow and sheep's milk. It is very creamy, round in shape and savory in flavour. It is very fresh and creamy inside with thin supple crust. Soft ripened cheese is made using modern equipment but with old method. It doesn’t contain any food dyes, preservatives or artificial additives. It must be consumed at room temperature. It is best with sliced cacciatore, olives or simple country bread.
