Damski cheese is manufactured in Mragowo which is the northeastern-most part of Poland. This area is home to Mazurian Lake district and also famous for its lush farms and healthy dairy productions. Made from pasteurised cow's milk, this semi-soft textured cheese has a burnt rind. Naturally smoked over the wood embers, it offers a sweet flavour with characteristic qualities of any smoked cheese. Its smoky aroma makes it one of famous specialty cheese from Poland.
