Fondu au Marc
Fondu au Marc cheese comes from Savoy part of the Rhône-Alpes region located on the eastern border of the country, towards the south. It is also Famous as Fondu au Raisin and Tomme au Raisin. Made from cow's milk, this industrial cheese offers a unique grape flavour imparted by its artificial inedible rind of grape seeds. It is called as marc - the remains from the pressed grapes. A large thick wheel, Semi-soft in consistency and contains around 45% of fat. Its mild and creamy flavour goes well with all fruity red wines.
