A small wheel shaped cheese, Friulano, has an Italian heart. Canadian cheese with a taste similar to the Montasio cheese made in the Montasio mountains of the Friuli region of Italy. Sometimes referred as Italian cheddar. Despite of its Italian nature and name it is produced in Canada. Soft, tender with nutty flavours. Delicately mild, found to develop complex flavours with aging. Made from pasteurised cow’s milk. Contains a natural firm yellow flesh. Comes wit 27% fat. Ripened in blocks. An admirable table cheese that is very well appreciated with fruits, nuts accompanied by red or white wine. Also served with snacks and grated in sandwiches.
