This special cheese originated in Auvergne Region of France and has a deep smokey flavour. The Fumaison cheese bears a strong resemblance to joli Jesus de Lyon (which is a type of sausage) or Auvergne (a dried sausage). The texture of the cheese is uncooked, semi hard and pressed. The cheese is to be served in its melten form in raclette dish or it also tastes good when served in the form of cubes with wine. White in colour with a bloomy rind exterior, the colour changes as the cheese matures. The cheese is sourced in cardboard boxes having 3 cubes each.
