Imperatore comes from north Sardinian town of Budduso. Imperatore means “The Emperor “in English. This exceptional cheese is handcrafted by Sardaformaggi. It is made from pasteurised sheep's milk. This cheese is produced in Budduso region which is rich in green grass and famous for best production of sheep’s milk. It is matured for 120 days and 13 pound wheel is used to make largest Pecorino Sardo. It is delicious, intense, delicate and big sized cheese. It is handmade cheese but yet use modern machinery. Served in dinner with anchovies, proscuitto, pimento-stuffed olives, garlic mushrooms, fresh bread and olive oil i.e. Buonno appetite. Also can used in salads with Balsamic and Oliver Oil.
