Made exclusively in the Cyclades Islands, this traditional cheese is one of the famous cheeses in Greece with Controlled Denomination of Origin (DOC). Soft in texture and rich in flavour, it is manufactured from ewe’s, cow’s or goat’s milk or a mixture of three. It has the intense salty and spicy test. Consumed as table cheese also used in cheese-pastries and as a snack with wine and ouzo. It contains around 19.4% fats.
