Le Berger Basque
Le Berger Basque is a French cheese produced in the Basque area of the Pyrenees. Made from raw ewe's milk, it is a pressed and unheated cheese with moulds on the surface. It has a natural brownish crust with firm and dense interior. This rustic cheese takes around 4 months for Affinage and offers sweet, nutty and herbaceous flavour when aged. It offers the mouth-watering taste which goes good with fruity red, dry fruity white or fullbodied red wines.
