Manur is a traditional hard cheese made from cow’s or ewe's milk depending on season. The milk is heated until it starts boiling after that it is added with a mixture of buttermilk, fresh whey and animal rennet. The cheese ripens in a few days with a creamy texture. It is a hand-made cheese with 40% fat with salty flavour. Non-vegetarians love to take it with Merlot and Zinfandel.
