Mel i mato is combination of Mató cream cheese with honey and almonds. Made with boiled milk of goat, the yogurt must be consistent as well as retain the taste of milk. This yogurt is not subject to maturation as it is termed as a ‘fresh product’, so it should not be preserved for more than 3 days. After a certain period of time the yogurt turns sour. It is seasoned with honey and almonds.
