Vachard is a traditional farm cheese made in an artistic way. Comes with a natural rind that is in the shape of a flat disc. Made from cow’s milk and contains around 45% fat. Requires around 2 months to mature. Generally made in summer and autumn seasons. Served with Côtes d'Auvergne, côtes de Roannaises, and Beaujolais wine. Also served with all kinds of light red fruity red or rose.
