Bondaroy au Foin
Manufactured in Orléanais province of France, Bondaroy au Foin is a thin disk of soft cheese. Also known as Pithiviers au Foin. Made from cow's milk, it is cured in hay. When aged in hay for 5 weeks, it offers a tangy flavour. The rind is natural and grayish in colour and it is covered by the pieces of straw. This farmstead or dairy cheese is better eaten in summer and autumn seasons. The texture is soft and the fat content is around 40-45%. This tasty cheese can be enjoyed with light red or fruity red wines.
