Le Chevrot

Le Chevrot is a fresh cheese produced in Celles-sur-Belle village of Poitou-Charentes region in central western France. By Serve & Belle dairy, this cheese is made from goat's milk. When very young the cheese is moist in texture, at the later stage it develops wrinkled rind, when fully matured the inside paste becomes soft and flavour becomes more nutty, and texture becomes dense, creamy, with fruity taste. It contains around 50% of fat. Serve it at the end of a meal or as a snack. Also, it is best for those tasters who love fresh cheeses with a slight goat taste. It pairs well with French champagnes or white wine.
