Pecorino Papavero

Produced by Romaniae Terrae, Pecorino Papavero is an Italian cheese made with highly selected sheep's milk pasteurized at optimum temperature. It is covered with poppy flowers and then left to mature in virgin beech crates for over 100 days. This keeps the cheese soft and gives it an intense, floral scent.

This is a straw-coloured cheese that flakes slightly when cut. The flavour is lingering with a delicate scent of herbs and flowers.
